Glitter. Rehearsals. Tutus. Long Nights. Early Mornings. I’m not gonna lie. That list describes it prettyyy well, but there is definitely more to the job.
There are so many exciting & heartfelt things that happen as a dance teacher. Like when a student finally gets a step they’ve been working on. Or when they all run up to you at the end of class for a big group hug. Or when they say your the ‘best teacher ever’ even when you feel so unworthy of even being a dance teacher in the first place.
But this. THIS has got to be the absolute best thing that has ever happened. I was at the front desk making a poster, about to go into class and one of my precious babies (I think she’s 4?) runs up to me, says ‘this is for Jesus’ and she hands me a $5 bill. Y’all her excitement was the cutest thing I’ve ever seen and the fact that it was for Jesus made it 1000x better.
I’m still not to the halfway point of fundraising. Deadlines are coming up. And I’m starting to get a little stressed. But God is working!!!! Right now, in little old Burleson, God is moving. Yes, the ‘goal’ of an international mission trip is to bring Jesus to other people in other countries. But there’s SO. MUCH. MORE.
