World Race Training Camp: A Series
Part One: What is Training Camp?
Many knew I was gone all last week at this thing in Georgia called ‘Training Camp’. But what even is that?? Here’s your answer.
Training camp was a full 7 days of diving into the word, meeting the best people on earth, and learning so much about God, myself, and my squad-mates. We camped, used port-potties, took bucket showers, and wore really dirty clothes.
A typical day looked something like this…
6:30am: Wake up, get ready, temperature checks, & I Am Healthy (iykyk)
7:30am: Work out: either a jog with a friend, group games, hiking, etc.
8:30am: Quiet time: reading my bible, walking & praying, or just getting ready for the day to come.
9am: Breakfast: always a good meal.
10am: Session: these were lead by Adventures in Missions staff & every single one was SO good.
11:30am: Free time: one on ones, slip n slides, packing up, literally anything goes.
1:30pm: Lunch!
2:30pm: Worship: my favorite part of the day!
3:30pm: Session
5pm: Debrief: talking in small groups or doing Q&As about what we discussed in the previous session.
6:30pm: Dinner
7:30pm: Session
8:30pm: Team time, games, bonfires, etc. This changed everyday.
9:30pm: Hang out as a squad, bonding, etc.
As you can tell, our days were packed FULL and I loved every single moment of it.
There’s so much more to tell you about camp.
But I’m going to stop here for now.
