Yup. You read it right. My $1,000 iPhone is water-logged and missing somewhere out in the Brazos river.

Yes, it sucks. No, I don’t currently have a working phone and really don’t have the extra money to make that happen right now (thanks to #coronavirus).

But honestly, I’m not mad about it. I’m not upset, annoyed, or frustrated. Even though it’s about the equivalent of throwing out that money and made my day a lot more difficult. OH! And I had to swim the river because my tube went away as well. And not to mention, I’m a young, single girl living alone, so a cell phone helps out quite a bit in the state of emergency.

But again, I’m not upset. How can I be upset about it when our God is so good?! And besides, none of this will matter on the day Jesus comes back. The phone, the money, the hassle. None of it. All that will matter is how much we shared the gospel and how many souls were saved.

So anyways, there’s my little life update. In conclusion, I choose to set my eyes on things above and lemme tell ya, I recommend making that change in your life before something like this happens. It makes a big difference in how you choose to handle things! Don’t let the little things steal your joy!

Also- PSA- I’m hoping to make a trip update (soon) with more details about when/where I’m going since I’m obviously NOT in Africa right now (again, #coronavirus)!

Thanks for the support everyone!!

Love y’all!

Bye!

**I’m sure the practical people (like myself) are curious about the details lol so here it is…
-I was floating the river, opened the ice chest, and my phone flew out of.
-I’m aware I shouldn’t have had my phone, but I bring it every time (like most people) so I can play music, it’s never been a problem before.
-I was able to get an old phone for super cheap, worked on it at tmobile for about an hour, and I should be able to set it up with verizon in the next few days!

One response to “I lost my phone in the river.”
